Bereits sein Vater war ein einflussreicher Mann, Landwirt, Gerichtssch\u00f6ffe und auch\u00a0Schulthei\u00df. Die Familie besa\u00df das Riedische Gut als Erbpacht der Familie von Dehrn, sp\u00e4ter deswegen auch <a href=\"https:\/\/esch-taunus.de\/?p=527\">Seyberths-Hof<\/a> genannt. Wie auch sein Vater war Johann Bernhard Schulthei\u00df, als weitere Berufe werden Ausschu\u00dflieutenant, Bendermeister und Gerichtssch\u00f6ffe genannt. Er war der Wirt im Gasthaus <a href=\"https:\/\/esch-taunus.de\/?p=49\">Zum Gr\u00fcnen Baum<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mit seiner Frau Anna Catharina G\u00f6bel aus Kloppenheim hatte er zwei S\u00f6hne, Philipp Heinrich (*1743) und\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/esch-taunus.de\/?p=238\">Philipp Daniel<\/a> (*1747). An den letztgenannten vererbte er den Hof und die Gastst\u00e4tte, w\u00e4hrend Philipp Heinrich in G\u00f6ttingen als Professor arbeitete. Zudem gibt es Aufzeichnungen \u00fcber eine Tochter Namens Elise Barbara (*1749, +1774) die einen Johann Leonhard Herber aus Langenschwalbach geheiratet hat. Hier besteht allerdings Namensgleicheit zum sp\u00e4teren Schwiegervater von Philipp Reinhard Seybert, der allerdings zwei Generationen sp\u00e4ter folgte, so dass zumindest ein Teil der Informationen bezweifelt werden muss.
